Analytics and performance metrics (feature usage, crash reports, error logs, A/B test data), processed via Google Analytics for our internal improvement only.
WordPress-generated cookies and similar site-access identifiers. (We do not use any other cookies or tracking technologies.)
1.3 Information from Third-Party Services (Social Logins)
Basic profile details provided by your social provider (name, email, profile picture).
We only use social-login data to authenticate your account and analyze app performance and stability.

Cloud Hosting & Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS) (to host app data and backend services)
Analytics & A/B Testing: Google Analytics (to collect usage metrics, run A/B tests, and analyze performance; data used internally only)
Content Management & Cookies: WordPress (to power our website and manage automatically generated cookies)
App Testing & Distribution: Google Play Console (Android beta testing and releases), TestFlight (iOS beta testing and releases)
If we engage any new service providers or change how we share data, we`ll update this section and notify you as required.
5. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?
In Short: We only use cookies automatically set by WordPress on our website. We do not place any other cookies, beacons, or pixels in the SoberHub app.
We rely on WordPress-generated cookies to enable basic site functionality. You can disable or delete these cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please note that clearing or blocking cookies may impact your ability to use certain features on our website.
We also use Google Analytics in the app solely to collect aggregated, anonymized performance and usage data. We do not use Google Analytics to track or target individual users, nor do we share any personal data with Google for marketing purposes.
6. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?
In Short: If you choose to sign in with Facebook, Google, or Apple, we receive only the basic profile data needed to authenticate your account and monitor app performance.
Data received: Name, email address, profile picture (as provided by the social provider).
Usage: We use this data to create your SoberHub account, authenticate subsequent logins, analyze aggregate performance metrics, troubleshoot errors, and run A/B tests.
No targeting: We do not use social-login data to build user profiles for advertising or personalized marketing.
If you choose to log in anonymously, we generate a random unique identifier for your session/account. No personal data is collected for anonymous accounts unless you later provide it.

7. Third-Party Content and Licensing
A. Third-Party Content
Each AA book, reflection, or audio file (“AA Materials”) is provided under AA‘s Terms of Use. SoberHub automatically downloads AA Materials from aa.org into your device’s Documents folder for personal, non-commercial use only. We do not claim ownership of AA Materials. If you believe any content infringes AA‘s copyright or terms, please contact us at legal@soberhub.life.
B. Sharing Functionality
When you select text in AA Materials and use the share feature, SoberHub will:
Restrict the excerpt to a short passage
Host that passage at https://share.soberhub.life, which highlights the shared text when opened in another app
Link back to the corresponding location in the downloaded PDF on your device
C. Copy Functionality
The copy feature does not restrict excerpt length
Your use of copied content must comply with AA’s Terms of Use and all applicable copyright laws
Any misuse of the copy feature or attempt to circumvent these requirements is prohibited
8. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
In Short: We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the services you request and to comply with legal obligations.
Account data and profile information: Retained while your account is active, plus up to 90 days after you delete your account to allow for data recovery and fraud prevention.
Analytics, crash reports, and logs: We retain anonymized performance data indefinitely for trend analysis. Any data tied to your personal account is deleted or de-identified once your account is closed.
Backup archives: If deletion from backups isn`t immediately possible, we isolate your data until it can be permanently removed.
9. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
In Short: We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.
Data in transit: Encrypted using TLS/SSL when sent between your device and our servers.
Data at rest: Stored on AWS servers with encryption at rest and strict access controls.
Access controls: Only authorized personnel and third-party processors with a need to know can access your data.
Monitoring and audits: We regularly test our systems for vulnerabilities and review our security practices.
While we strive to protect your data, no system is completely secure. Transmitting information to or from the internet is done at your own risk.
10. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
In Short: Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information.
If you reside in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with similar laws, you may have the right to:

11. How Can You Review, Update, or Delete Your Account?
You can manage your account directly within the SoberHub app or via email:
Review & Update in-App:
Open the app and go to the Profile tab. Edit your profile fields (email, name, password) and tap Save.
Delete Your Account In-App:
Go to the Profile tab in the app and tap the “Delete Account” button. Confirm your choice. Once confirmed, we will deactivate your account and remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days.
Delete via Email:
If you experience any issues, email support@soberhub.life with “Delete My Account” in the subject line. We`ll process your request and confirm completion.
Please note that we may retain certain information in backup archives or logs for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of our Terms of Use, in accordance with applicable law.
12. Children`s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from users below these ages. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Promptly investigate and contain the incident.
Notify you if there`s a significant risk of harm.
Report to the appropriate supervisory authority within 72 hours, unless the breach is unlikely to pose a risk.
15. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
In Short: We do not currently respond to browser or device “Do-Not-Track” signals. If a standard is adopted in the future that we must follow, we will update this policy and notify you.
16. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
In Short: Yes. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and related laws.
Shine the Light: Once per year, request free details of personal information shared with third parties for direct marketing.
Under-18 Removal: If you`re under 18 and have an account, you can request removal of public data you posted. Submit your request to legal@soberhub.life with your account email and a statement that you reside in California.

In Short: Yes. We`ll update this policy to stay compliant with laws and our business practices.
The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we post revisions. For material changes, we will either post a clear notice on our site or send you a direct notification.
